The Open Network Operations Platform (ONOP) is an extensible framework designed to help enterprises radically simplify the operation of their networks. ONOP is built around the software-defined networking (SDN) principles of modularity and centralized control, and it includes SDN applications that reside on top of an OpenFlow-capable network controller. These applications provide various operational capabilities and network functions across all elements of an enterprise’s network to include campuses, branch offices, network backbone, and data centers.
